From the start of the year to the end of it I have watched movies, listened to music and sat at plays but, while all of this has been going on I have been reading. Stories of sadness, adventure, life and death have passed my eyes lead gently by my finger tips caressing word after line, paragraph after page of text woven tightly into dry white paper. Some of these stories have stolen sleep from me while others have pushed me towards slumber with exhausting passages of extraordinarily descriptive landscapes and characters.
First up on the list is my top five authors for the year and then following in no particular order I have compiled a list of novels I finished this year, anticipated novels of 2012 and books waiting to be read in 2012. The list contains wide range of talented writers, genres and age specific books; some were recommended by friends, some were rereads, others were found by complete accident, after all fancy covers tend to catch my eye.
