Ghosts of Katrina: 5 Years Later By Becca Skinner
Recently Becca Skinner returned from a trip to New Orleans where she was given the opportunity to capture some of the scarred and dilapidated structures left behind by hurricane Katrina. During her stay she met people of the city who told personal stories of the events that occurred in August of 2005. While they told stories, Becca listened intently hanging on every word they had to offer her the same a child seeking alms in candy would, all the while she captured photos of what was once colorful and decorative. Though now lying prone only vaguely portraying a prosperous humanity, deafening reflections linger of the ghosts of Katrina.
